Geof is an experienced scientist and business leader in biotech and pharma. He is the Executive Director for the Merck Digital Sciences Studio and a Principal Scientist at Merck Research Labs, where he leads computational, machine learning, and molecular research for early-stage drug discovery. He has expertise in data science, systems biology, drug discovery, precision medicine, and microbiology / immunology, and has published research papers and holds a patent. Geof has demonstrated the ability to bring groups together, leveraging his scientific and business acumen to accelerate startups towards success. Dr. Hannigan has a BS in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Minnesota Duluth, a PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed his postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan.
