Prem (he/him) is a Managing Director at the Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, specializing in digital health and health IT. He manages the fund’s Next Horizon investment area, investing in independent, stage-agnostic disruptive technology. Prem advises Merck Social Impact Investment Fund and Merck for Mothers initiatives, and also manages the fund's ex-US investments. Prem has over 10 years of experience in healthcare corporate and growth strategy, and financial advisory. Prior to GHI, Prem co-led the Life Sciences M&A platform and the Growth & Innovation Capital Practice at Accenture Strategy. He also worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse, advising health and life sciences companies on M&A, debt, and equity financing. In 2020, he was named to Fortune’s 40 Under 40 list and in 2021, to Crain’s New York Notable LGBTQ Leaders and Executives list. Mr. Tumkosit holds an MBA from Yale University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
